I see that Aloe vera barbadensis is a key ingredient of Body Balance. Isn't that on the ASPCA Toxic Plants list?
This is a concern to many pet owners. Here at The Jubilant Dog, we pride ourselves on giving our dogs the best of everything, including Body Balance. What is of concern with the Aloe vera plant is the aloe latex found in the skin of the Aloe plant. If you have ever gently scraped an aloe leaf so that you got a yellowish substance under your fingernail, this is the latex of the leaf. (If you had licked it off, it would have been terribly bitter.) It is this latex substance that is the cause of cramping and diarrhea in dogs, other animals, and even some people.
Body Balance is made from a filet of 100% inner-leaf gel. No skin is used in production of Body Balance. Nine types of sea vegetation, harvested in the pristine waters near the Arctic Circle, and this inner-leaf gel are put together to create this amazing, organic product that is being used all over for better health and wellness.
The Jubilant Dog does not support allowing your dog(s) to eat the Aloe vera plant itself. (This is what is referred to on the ASPCA's Toxic Plants list.) However, we are thrilled that deep inside the Aloe leaf lies a substance of great nutrition and benefit to all pets and people.
I feed my dog(s) the best dog food that is made. Why do I still need to use Body Balance?
Premium pet food is and excellent choice for nutrition with your dog. However, even the most ideally formulated pet food is not as nutrient dense with the accompanying phytochemicals as other pet foods. Further, the land food components used in producing pet food are beginning to diminish in nutritional value as our hardworking agricultural industry must produce more quality food faster. Has this product been tested on animals?
Body Balance has not been tested on animals. Its two main ingredients, sea vegetation and Aloe vera, have been used widely and safely on dogs and other animals for years. Many years ago, people were using Body Balance themselves and had life-changing results in their own lives with it. It was only natural to want their dog to have this same health benefit, and that's how Body Balance began to gain wide acceptance as a use for dog health.

Can I use the glass dropper in the FlexeoPlus bottle to administer the serving to my dog?
We do not advise nor encourage using the glass dropper for the administering the FlexeoPlus to your dog(s). The glass material allows better release of the thick product out of the dropper stem, but to place it directly in the mouth is not advised. Please feel free to place it in food, water, treats, or dispensing syringe.
